Special Instructions
EDTA Whole Blood – Immediately invert 10-15 times minimum after collection to ensure the anticoagulant mixes with the blood to prevent clotting. DO NOT SPIN. Send Entire tube to Laboratory.
Let clot for 10-20 minutes.
After the sample is fully clotted, centrifuge the sample. Verify complete separation of cells and serum. DO NOT OPEN TUBE. Protect from light and refrigerate.
